SUPERNOVA
out of this world Phoenix Lights Music Festival Doesn't Disappoint!

Anthony’s favorite: DJ Oliver Tree
As a Phoenix native himself, Anthony has heard about Phoenix Lights for a handful of years now. When the opportunity arose, he immediately hopped on to experience the festival himself. The EDM Tomorrow team knew he was in for a treat. We discussed the potential of the festival as the headliners included: Seven Lions, Nghtmre and Kaskade.
PHXLIGHTS with the subname, “Supernova” promised a solid line up of EDM and an out of this world experience. Anthony could not believe his eyes when he saw performers dressed as aliens or martians, a portal like stage and the vast array of flashing lights.
Upon driving up to Phoenix lights, Anthony was under the impression that the set up was going to be similar to Decadence (another festival held at the venue during New Years). However, those thoughts quickly changed, as upon turning a corner, he was welcomed with a bouquet of lights shooting out from the Phoenix Raceway. This festival wasn’t just at the Phoenix Raceway, it was on the Phoenix Raceway! This immediately set the stage for the weekend to come: a raceway adrenaline feel, with amazing EDM music.
What happened next would be his favorite parts of the whole Phoenix lights experience. He was following an anxious crowd of people through the vast stadium. He knew he was getting closer because he could start to feel the music. A 100 yard concrete tunnel with an escalator at the end, made him feel as if he were a football player again. A reminiscing memory of running out of the tunnel to a stadium full of cheering fans had hit him. With every step he took he felt the music getting louder and louder. The pounding feeling in his chest was also getting stronger and stronger. It were as if he was a Roman gladiator about to enter the Colosseum. He took the final steps up the escalator, and there it was, the PHXLights Music Festival.
The stage design was one of the best he has seen. Anthony notes he saw a ton of interesting graphic designs, visuals, and, of course, lighting strobes! The crowd was electric, and everyone working. The festival was extremely helpful and nice. He even saw a couple security guards head banging with the crowd whenever they had a free moment. Anthony’s favorite set from the entire festival was Dj Oliver Tree. Oliver’s comedic and unique wardrobe encapsulated what I felt was the entire mood of the PHX lights. For any EDM lovers, looking to catch a light show in the desert, Phoenix Lights is definitely a must!
The EDM Tomorrow team had a phenomenal time at PHXLIGHTS. We highly recommend our EDM Tomorrow audience to look into attending the Arizona festival in the future. Links can be found below.

“This was the second time I have shot a festival. Both of them were in my hometown. I’m glad Phoenix brings the heat.”
