John Summit Returns to The Caverns For a 2- Day Festival

Last weekend, April 26 + 27, John Summit made his heavily anticipated return to The Caverns for an unforgettable two-day festival. The house DJ debuted at The Caverns a year ago with a two-day underground cave event; however, this time, Summit took things to new heights with Experts Only Presents: John Summit Caverns Weekender.

It is no secret that John Summit has become a household name in the EDM scene. The Chicago native is the hitmaker behind the notable tracks "Where You Are" and, most recently,"Shiver." In 2024 alone, he was announced as a headliner for major festivals in the U.S. and continues to release an abundance of captivating tracks.

THE LINEUP

Early this year, The Caverns took to socials to unveil a stellar lineup, including daily headliner John Summit and support from some of the hottest names in the tech-house genre.

Day 1 Lineup: John Summit, Of The Trees, Walker & Royce, OMNOM, Max Styler, and Ranger Trucco

Day 2 Lineup: John Summit, Gorgon City, Channel Tres (DJ Set), DJ Seinfield, Layton Giordani, Azzecca.

The Festival

Held in the small town of Pelham, TN, the festival was a two-day experience of beautiful weather and gorgeous hills. The two-day festival consisted of two stages: the above-ground amphitheater and the underground cave. Both stages were fairly close to one another, making for a good change in atmosphere and overall vibe whenever needed.

Support took the stage and started the party at 4 p.m. each day. As the sun began to set, the crowd grew larger and larger. On the first night, John Summit appeared and took the stage while subheadliner Of The Trees played an unreleased collaboration.

Finally, John Summit took the stage at 9:00 p.m., treating the crowd to differing and unforgettable headlining sets each night.

The main stage had talented dancers, vibrant visuals, dazzling lights, pyrotechnics, and a stunning fireworks show to close out each night. Summit's contagious stage presence, unmatched energy, and impeccable live mixing made for unforgettable sets. While Summit played more recent releases such as his 2023 release "Where You Are" and 2024's "The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition (John Summit & Silver Panda Remix)," he also paid homage to older tracks and remixes including "Acid" and "I Remember - John Summit Remix." My favorite moment of the weekend was when John Summit Closed his Day 1 set with the unreleased drum and bass banger "I wanna go back" in collaboration with SubSub Focus. As the beat dropped, the sky exploded in fireworks, making for a true spectacle.

STAY

Over the two days, festival-goers could choose from daily parking or on-site camping for an extra charge. Each morning, campers had a variety of activities to partake in before the festival each day! Activities included yoga, workshops, and Experts Only lodge parties. A vendor market was also within walking distance if you forgot festival must-haves or wanted to accessorize your outfit.

Afters

The party truly never stops at The Caverns. Over the two days, after parties commonly known as "afters" were held at the cave, which made for a more intimate atmosphere. After-party tickets were exclusively available to festival attendees. Each night, they began at 11 and ended at 4 a.m. Festival goers who had access to the afters were treated to various b2bs, including Walker & Royce b2b Max Styler and DJ Seinfeld b2b Azzecca.
