BREAKAWAY ANNOUNCES LABEL AND MANAGEMENT DIVISION, BREAKAWAY PROJECTS
Breakaway, the dominant force in independent live entertainment and the creator of the massive touring music festival set to hit 12 cities in 2025, is expanding its reach with the launch of Breakaway Projects. This innovative record label and management company, powered by distribution partner The Orchard, will be dedicated to discovering and propelling the careers of tomorrow's most exciting artists.
“We’re thrilled to pair our robust live platform with The Orchard to discover and develop the next superstars in dance and pop music,” said Adam Lynn, Co-Founder and CEO of Breakaway.
The label is launching with seven exciting artists to its roster in Surf Mesa, JADED, EVAN GIIA, Night Tales, Mojave Grey, Klo, and Myles O'Neal. Each artist has garnered significant attention for their innovative sound and captivating performances. Breakaway Projects artists will be featured artists across the company’s live portfolio in 2025. Breakaway previously released Night Tales’ vibrant Deep House spin on Miguel’s “Sure Thing” and have been instrumental in Mojave Grey’s debut album, Monument, released on November 15, 2024, which has House of the Sun coming in at #1 most listened track on Sirius XM Chill.
Breakaway's launch of its own record label represents a major step in its evolution, expanding beyond live entertainment to directly foster artist development and creative expression. This move empowers emerging artists by providing them with the necessary resources and support to excel in the demanding music industry. Utilizing its extensive industry connections and expanding live event platform, Breakaway Projects will cultivate artist success across all facets of their careers, from live performances to studio recordings and beyond.
Leading the charge as President of Breakaway Projects is Jaime Neely. A former Warner and BMG executive, Neely brings a wealth of experience and powerhouse track record. His previous work includes Lewis Capaldi, 5 Seconds of Summer, Monsta X, producers Jono Sloan (Empire of the Sun) and Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots).
“With the support of The Orchard, we have both the opportunity to nurture talent and feature our signings with an incredible nationwide live music platform,” said Jaime Neely. “Our goal is to create true context around releases, and these synergies will allow artists a direct and more meaningful connection with fans.”
Additional expertise includes Harrison Bamel, who will serve as Vice President of Breakaway Projects. Bamel also currently leads Breakaway’s Artist Management team, where he oversees emerging live electronic acts Night Tales, Mojave Grey and Klo. The CAA alum will drive A&R and artist development for the record label venture. Matt Oliver will serve as the label’s Director of PR. With more than a decade of PR experience in the entertainment industry, Oliver will focus on increasing brand visibility across all key digital platforms. Throughout his career, the Super Evil Genius Corp alumni has run campaigns for clients such as adidas Basketball, Facebook, Wu-Tang Clan, DMX, Perry Farrell, Alina Baraz, dirtybird records and mau5trap. From the beginning, Breakaway has sought to break boundaries. Through the creation of Breakaway Projects, the brand now takes that mission even further by blending music, management, and live performance to create the ultimate experience for artists and fans alike.
